I get it—life is busy. Between work, family, church, and everything else on my to-do list, finding time for fitness can feel impossible. For years, I told myself I’d work out “when I had more time.” But guess what? That perfect moment never came. Instead, I had to be intentional about making time for my health.

The Key to Making Time for Fitness

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? If something is important, I make time for it. I don’t wait for time to magically appear. Just like I schedule doctor’s appointments, Bible study, and meal prep, I now schedule my workouts. It’s not about having time—it’s about making time.

Tips for Scheduling Workouts

Here are a few strategies that helped me fit fitness into my schedule:

  • Prioritize and Plan: Treat your workouts like an appointment. Block out time in your calendar and stick to it.
  • Use Shorter Workouts: Even 10-15 minutes can make a difference. Studies show that short, high-intensity workouts can be just as effective as longer sessions.
  • Combine Fitness with Other Activities: Listen to worship music while walking, pray during stretches, or do bodyweight exercises while watching TV.
  • Be Flexible: Some days may not go as planned. Adjust and find another time instead of skipping altogether.
  • Prepare in Advance: Lay out workout clothes the night before, keep a water bottle ready, and have a quick workout plan in mind.

The Benefits of Regular Movement

  • More Energy & Less Stress: Exercise increases endorphins, boosting mood and reducing anxiety.
  • Better Sleep: Regular activity improves sleep quality, helping you wake up refreshed.
  • Stronger Body to Serve the Lord: Keeping fit enables us to fulfill our God-given responsibilities with strength.

A Challenge for You

If you’re struggling to find time for fitness, here’s my challenge: Look at your schedule and find just 10 minutes today to move. Take a walk, do some squats while cooking dinner, or stretch before bed. Start small, be consistent, and trust that taking care of your body is a way to honor God.

Share Your Progress! Let’s keep each other accountable. After trying the challenge, share your experience in the comments, tag me on social media, or message me with your success story. Let’s encourage and motivate one another!

If I can find time in my busy life, so can you. Let’s do this together!
